
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Prof. Dr. Steurer is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at ACC Group AG in Switzerland and Vice President at the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm. He has served as Vice President for Research, Internationalization, and Transfer at Neu-Ulm University since January 2022. Prior to this, he was Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics from April 2017 to December 2021, following his earlier role as Vice President for Research and Transfer from March 2013 to March 2017. In addition to these positions, he is actively involved in the university’s Africa Institute, where he contributes to third-party funded projects focused on promoting entrepreneurship in rural Africa through decentralized electrification.
Throughout his professional career, Prof. Dr. Steurer has gained extensive experience in controlling, risk management, and financing. Early in his career, he applied the findings from his dissertation in the field of artificial intelligence to develop forecasting models for the capital markets at Daimler AG and Merck Finck Asset Management. During his doctorate, he coordinated research projects in financial risk management at Daimler AG’s Ulm Research Center and published his work on the development of quantitative AI-based models for scoring, rating, and forecasting tasks in both national and international contexts.
